A Day on the Water

As it was the last day of the season, crowds were bearable and we did enjoy an excellent meal with fresh herbs grown on site. Paprika for everyone and yes Sofia, Balaton is a great place to take a piss.

Driving down from the the look-off (above) we got right twisted trying to find the public beach that was supposedly near a relative of mine. We didn’t find the relative… but we found the beach!

Public Beach at Lake Balaton

Beaches on the Balaton are a mix of public and private beaches. Although the services at the private beaches are much better (more expensive but thicker grass), you’ll find the public beaches a great place to spend a few hours relaxing and enjoying the warm waters.
